Amazing umbrella!
The umbrella performs great in strong winds, held up particularly during a slight storm. The handle feels ergonomic and the brolly just feels incredibly well made. It is perfect when walking and so easy to put away without any worries of getting everything soaked in my bag :)
A good purchase for frequent commuters
I have used Gilley umbrellas for, I think, almost two years now. I love the portability of the product - it lives in the bottom of my bag until I need it. The case is easy to hold and being able to put a wet umbrella into my bag, using the case, is ideal for getting on the bus. Umbrella withstands typical windstrength too making it more useful during more windy weather.

Our 100-day money-back guarantee is for umbrella purchases made through our website only, starting from the date of order. Please note that to be eligible for a refund your item must not have physical damage to it caused by improper use.
2 Year Manufacturer Warranty
Your Gilley umbrella has a 2-year guarantee
commencing from the date of purchase. Our guarantee will cover free of charge any product faults, defects, and irregularities. It does not include damage due to improper use.
This guarantee does not affect your rights under statutory law.
What are the handle options?
There is an option to attach the watertight case onto the base of the umbrella for a longer, ergonomic handle. This gives you a convenient use of the watertight case, so you don't have to store it somewhere while using your umbrella in the rain.
Is the handle comfortable?
Yes! We've slimmed it down and also wrapped it in a silicone for an ergonomic grip in all weather conditions. Hold the handle a bit loosely with your thumb facing up for a really comfortable experience.
Is it okay to keep the damp umbrella in the case?
There's a hydrophobic coating on the canopy, meaning most of the water slides off before you store it away & a microfibre cap on top of the canopy to soak up any excess moisture.
However, like anything that gets damp, we do recommend airing a damp umbrella when convenient. Preferably within 24 hours of use.
What colours are available?
Right now it's black, but we'll be expanding the colour range as we grow. Give us a shout at hello@gilley.uk with any suggestions!

We've opted for high-quality, durable materials like an infinitely recyclable stainless steel protective case over plastic to achieve this longevity. One Gilley saves 5kg of umbrella material waste. The packaging is biodegradable.
It's hard for individuals to recycle umbrellas because they would have to separate all of the materials, which in practice rarely every happens. So, most umbrellas break or are lost and then end up in the landfill.
We have an in-house recycling programme, are certified carbon neutral and are in the process of becoming a b-corp.
